Penile Enlargement (Penile Thickening and Lengthening)

Penile length and girth can vary from person to person as a result of genetic factors, inadequate nutrition, ethnic characteristics and hormonal problems. Indeed, as sexual identity begins to be discovered, many men question the size of their penis and, when their expectations are not met, may experience both physical and psychological problems. It can be said that the number of men who are not sufficiently satisfied during sexual intercourse, who cannot satisfy their partner sexually or think they cannot, and who, as a result of all these negatives, experience performance anxiety and face sexual dysfunctions such as premature ejaculation and erection problems is far from negligible. With penile enlargement surgery, we can both lengthen the penis and perform penile thickening. We can carry out this procedure in a single operation, under a single anesthesia.

What Is a Normal Penis Size?

Essentially, “normal” or “ideal” penile length is not something that can be confined to exact values. Penile dimensions that do not make urination difficult for men, allow sexual functions to be performed and also provide satisfaction for the partner can be described as the ideal penile size.

The answers to the question “What should the ideal penile length be?” are a matter of great curiosity. When talking about ideal penile size, focusing only on penile length is also far from the right approach. As much as penile length, penile diameter is a criterion that directly affects the pleasure couples experience during sexual intercourse. Penile Enlargement, Thickening, Lengthening

What is micropenis?

Micropenis refers to an abnormally small penis. Micropenis is rare, and hormonal or genetic problems are the most common causes. A person is diagnosed with micropenis when their penis is 2.5 standard deviations below the average stretched length for their age and level of sexual development. Values of 9.3 cm or shorter when erect indicate the presence of micropenis.

Men who do not have ideal penile dimensions, or who experience psychological problems, particularly performance anxiety, because they are not satisfied with their penile size even if it is large by standards, can have a longer and thicker penis with penile enlargement surgery. In this way, both they and their partners can enjoy a more satisfying and healthy sex life.

What Is Penile Enlargement Surgery?

Surgery that increases the length and girth of the penis is called penile enlargement surgery. As the definition suggests, penile lengthening, penile thickening, or both lengthening and thickening surgeries can be performed within the scope of this operation. Therefore, to clear up questions about “how is penile enlargement surgery performed?”, I would like to discuss these two operations separately:

  • How Is Penile Lengthening Surgery Performed?

Men who cannot have sexual intercourse because of their penile length, who along with their partner are not satisfied during intercourse, and who feel anxious about their penile length can achieve a permanent increase in penile length with penile lengthening surgery.
There is no medication or non-surgical procedure that can be used to increase penile length. The most commonly used method for penile lengthening is a surgical method based on cutting 80% of the suspensory ligament, which attaches the penis to the abdominal wall, thereby releasing the part of the penis that remains inside the body.
The suspensory ligament attaches the penis to the pubic bone. This ligament between the penis and the pubic bone helps keep part of the penis inside the body. When 80% of this ligament is cut, since there is no longer support holding part of the penis inside the body, the penis can be made longer both in the flaccid and erect state.
At this point I would like to make an important reminder…
For the lengthening achieved after penile lengthening surgery to be visible in the erect state as well, patients should not have excessive fat accumulation at the base of the penis, that is, in the area where hair growth is dense, and should perform the exercises recommended after the operation without neglecting them.
Although it varies from person to person, with penile lengthening surgery we can achieve an increase of 3–4 cm in our patients' penile length. This increase is permanent if the exercises recommended after surgery are performed without interruption. Still, some shortening may be encountered due to changes in penile anatomy with advancing age. This has nothing to do with penile lengthening surgery.

• How Is Penile Thickening Surgery Performed?

Another operation performed within the scope of penile enlargement surgery is penile thickening surgery. There is an important connection between penile girth and sexual satisfaction. The pressure the penis applies to the vaginal walls during intercourse allows intercourse to end in satisfaction for both the man and the woman. For this reason, I cannot ignore the fact that penile girth is as important a variable as penile length.
During penile thickening surgery, we pass the fat we take from under the skin of our patients' front abdominal wall with special syringes, without making an incision in the skin, through a series of special filtering processes. We then inject the resulting fat into the subcutaneous area of the penis that we have prepared for thickening.
Penile thickening surgery, which can also be called fat injection into the penis, unlike penile lengthening surgery, is not permanent for life. Since about 50% of the fat tissue injected under the penile skin is absorbed by the body within an average of 1–3 years, the penis may return to an appearance close to its former state. In young patients, this period may also be longer. However, the procedure is safe and can be repeated during the sexually active period, provided there are 6 months between two injections. Moreover, non-surgical penile thickening methods with fillers can also be used afterwards. Penile Enlargement, Thickening, Lengthening

Penile Enlargement Surgery and Anesthesia

Before penile enlargement surgery, we decide together on the most suitable anesthesia method for our patients. Although this operation can be performed under general anesthesia, we generally prefer spinal anesthesia; during the operation the patient temporarily has no sensation only from the waist down. During surgery, the patient can chat with us, listen to music or sleep if they wish.

How Many Hours Does Penile Enlargement Surgery Take?

Penile enlargement surgery is completed in 1–2 hours if penile lengthening and penile thickening operations are performed simultaneously. After these quite comfortable surgeries, the patient stays in the hospital for one day and can walk out on discharge the next day.

Who Should Have Penile Enlargement Surgery?

Penile enlargement surgery cannot be considered purely as penile aesthetics. Some men may experience physiological or psychological problems due to a short and/or thin penis. Neither they nor their spouses are satisfied during sexual intercourse. This harms family relationships and leads to performance anxiety in men. Performance anxiety, in turn, can lead to sexual dysfunctions such as premature ejaculation and erection problems.

Therefore, penile enlargement surgery may be requested by the male patient as well as by his partner. Although penile enlargement surgery can generally be performed on many men, I can mention some basic eligibility criteria for the operation.

Penile enlargement surgery can be performed on men who:

– Have realistic expectations about the penile lengthening and penile thickening performed within the scope of penile enlargement surgery,

– Are not sufficiently satisfied during sexual intercourse because of penile size,

– Are not satisfied with their penile length and have self-confidence problems.
