Penile Curvature Surgery

Penile curvature is when the penis bends downward, upward or to the side during an erection, whereas it would normally be straight.

Penile curvature may be congenital (congenital penile curvature) or acquired later in adulthood (Peyronie's disease).

Penile curvature is known to increase cosmetic concerns, cause a lack of self-confidence in men and affect sexual life. In cases of congenital penile curvature, there is no additional functional disorder requiring treatment.

In patients with a curvature angle of more than 30 degrees that makes intercourse difficult, or who seek help because of personal cosmetic concerns, surgical treatment is the only option.

Penile curvature that begins in adulthood (Peyronie's disease) has 2 phases: the initial phase (acute phase) and the stable phase (chronic phase).

Depending on the phase of the disease, treatment options include medication, vacuum devices, ESWT (extracorporeal shock wave therapy) and surgery. For appointments: 0530 574 79 89 0232 715 40 00
